  Climate signals in the world oceans are dominated by adiabatic heaving modes intimately linked to adjustment of the thermocline in response to wind stress perturbations, these signals propagate in the forms of Rossby waves and Kelvin waves. Heaving modes can be illustrated by simple reduced gravity model. Using the extended isopycnal analysis can help us to explore the dynamics of climate changes in the world oceans.
