主要从事海洋大型底栖动物生态学研究。揭示了气候变化和人类活动双重影响下黄海、东海、长江口海域大型底栖动物的演变及生态学特点,分析了黄海海域底栖动物群落变化原因以及黑潮入侵对东海近岸底栖生物群落的冲击等,预测了气候变化对黄东海海域大型底栖动物分布的潜在影响。第一或通讯作者在Science of the Total Environment、Ecological Indicators、Marine Pollution Bulletin、Marine Environmental Research、PLoS ONE、Journal of Marine Systems、Deep Sea Research Part II等国内外期刊发表科研论文20余篇。主持国家自然科学基金1项,横向课题1项。相关成果获“海洋科学技术奖二等奖”、“青岛市科学技术奖一等奖”。担任《应用生态学报》期刊青年编委,担任Global Ecology and Conservation、Marine Pollution Bulletin、Journal of Sea Research等多个期刊审稿人。
