博士，博士生导师，中国科学院海洋研究所汇泉青年学者，山东省TS学者青年专家。主要从事极地浮游动物生态学研究。先后9次参加中国南极科学考察，围绕南极磷虾、南极浮游动物群落结构的年际变动、极地浮游动物优势物种的营养策略、极地浮游动物群落的垂直分布结构及优势种摄食策略、南极磷虾对海洋酸化的行为选择性、南极浮游动物优势类群对生物泵碳通量的贡献、南极磷虾大尺度时空变动等方面开展工作，已经在Limnology and Oceanography, Deep-Sea Res I, Deep-Sea Res II, Polar Biology, Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science, Continental Shelf Research, Journal of Marine Systems等海洋生态学国际主流学术期刊发表论文50余篇。
