聚焦新生代海洋沉积与古气候关键科学问题,从沉积矿物学、元素/同位素地球化学及古气候学角度探究喜马拉雅山脉-孟加拉湾从源到汇过程、陆海相互作用及喜马拉雅山脉隆升风化历史等。通过从海洋看陆地的视角,获得如下科学新认知:1)基于海水钕同位素构建的大陆风化输入新指标,提出了晚新生代喜马拉雅山脉构造隆升造成的南亚风化输入持续增强的新论点,揭示了构造-风化-气候变化的耦合关系,为争议数十年之久的隆升-风化假说提供了关键证据。2)重建了南亚地区最长且连续(37百万年至今)的古环境演化历史,系统阐明了南亚河流(雅鲁藏布江和伊洛瓦底江等)的形成及喜马拉雅山脉的快速隆升期均发生于晚渐新世-早中新世。在Science Bulletin、Global and Planetary Change、Geophysical Research Letters等国际重要刊物发表论文14篇(其中9篇为中科院一区TOP期刊),成果被Science、The Innovation Geoscience等国际顶级期刊引用。主持国家自然科学青年基金等项目3项,作为科研骨干参与国家重点研发计划等项目4项。担任《海洋学报》与《Acta Oceanologica Sinica》青年编委以及多个国内外学术期刊审稿专家。曾获所“优秀博士后”出站奖励以及2023年度重大成果奖励等荣誉。
